Circles of love

Golden bands, powerful tokens
Tokens of love and a commitment for life
Life will now have a new meaning
Meaning to ring in a celebration
Celebration with a soul mate and fond people
People who will shower us with blessings
Blessings for this new phase called marriage
Marriage of two people who are twin flames
Flames a game I played as a teen
Teen! Oh boy, wasn’t I defiant?
Defiant and reckless
Reckless and nothing mattered
Matters now is a new beginning
Beginning a life with circle of rings and a kiss
Kiss to seal our love and our bond forever!

Note from Wiki – The circle has frequently been used to symbolise eternity. The ring, like the circle, is a reminder of the perfection and endurance of Bride and Groom’s commitment to and love for one another.

Written for Lady Jabberwocky’s prompt for the week – Write a story or poem on the word ‘ring’

  1. Very tender and beautiful Harshi, your words on a new stage of your life…Gone are the defiant years, and now you enter the stage of twin flames held fast by conjoining circles..rings to last a lifetime… Your poem is like a fresh breeze to my ears and eyes.

  3. Beautiful expression as always Harshi.👌🙏🌹Life keeps changing with the new labels we get attached to but then how much we allow those labels to change the true being we are is dependent on us. How much are ready to compromise with reality.
    Stay blessed always 🙏🌹🙏
