Reflections completed one year of writing at WordPress.com!

I’m on my 96th post as I type and my journey at WordPress has been exciting, enriching and I continue to evolve as a writer. I consider myself to be an avid reader but my medium of expression had got lost and tangled. As a blogger, I was able to find it again and how!

This wonderful community has showered me with lot’s of love, ideas, appreciation and revived my love for poetry!

I’ve been fortunate enough to make a number of friends here. They have inspired me, shared their works with me and made me a part of them, overwhelmed me with their comments and cheered me on.

A shoutout to Luna from Pen to paper and David from The Skeptic’s Kaddish

Thanks to The Poetry Bar (Luna) my blogging world opened up. All of a sudden, there were so many bloggers visiting my site and reading my various works. As Night approaches was my first poem which was published on Luna’s blog.

David bobbed up when I needed to take the next step. He gives brilliant and effective blogging ideas and there’s always a happy vibe around him. I enjoyed being a poetry partner with him and regularly participate in his W3 poetry prompts. The purpose of these prompts is to engage in different forms of poetic devices and to have fun!

During my voyage, I’ve penned reviews – books and shows, articles, short stories, poems and month end reviews which have also been referred to as newsletters. Sharing a few popular posts here, for your viewing.

Poems:

My Happy Spot! We all can have a happy spot. Some find it in the park, some at home. Some near the ocean and some in solitude! I discovered mine at a cafe and then realised that I always carry it within myself. I hope you unearth yours too.

Untamed! Is love eternal or does it die with the people it possess?

Walking in the Dark My favourite! A poem which I composed for my readers as much as for myself! Many readers have asked me why do I only glorify “Light” and say nothing affirmative about darkness? Here’s a poem which does just that.

Stories :

I’m adopted! A tale to warm your heart!

Andr-dr-drea! A story about changing the Impossible to I-M-Possible!

Midnight club! Have you ever sneaked out to visit a Midnight club? Why do the members meet at the witching hour and where do they meet? This story got a shoutout for Prompt of the Week: Spooky Stories Around the Campfire by Lady Jabberwocky

Beautiful Chaos Can chaos be beautiful?

Book Review:

The Thursday Murder Club “In life you have to learn to count the good days. You have to tuck them in your pocket and carry them around with you. So I’m putting today in my pocket and I’m off to bed.” ― Richard Osman, The Thursday Murder Club

Once again, thanks to all of you for journeying along……

Love, Harshi

  3. Many congratulations on coming so far in such a short time, Harshi. I always enjoy reading your posts. You express yourself so beautifully and eloquently – it’s always such a pleasure to look forward to. Although I’ve only discovered your blog recently, you have very quickly become one of my favourites, and there is a warm sense of having known you for longer than I have. I also love the photo at the top of this post. It’s a beautiful scene with that gorgeous journal and garden surrounding it. Is this your garden, I am wondering? Harshi, I wish you much love, peace and ongoing success in your writing. Xx ❤🤗💚🥰💙😘❤

Yes, this is the garden of my hill home and it blooms under the due diligence of my maa-in-law, who nurtures it. ❤️
