Eureka!

I sit at my desk absolutely miffed!

Scribbled papers lying outside the bin

Wild ideas run amok in my mind

A character waving, a plot unravelling

Yet, nothing happening of consequence

Jubel is playing on the loop

And I’m slowly sipping a summer cooler

I’m physically present but my inspiration has taken a vacation

Chaos swirls in my mind

Out of the bottomless pit of imagination

Suddenly a synapse fires… Eureka!

Does your inspiration ever takes a vacation?

  1. Loved itπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒEveryone goes through this . The only difference is the length of the vacation the inspiration is on leave. In case of majority it is perpetually on leaveπŸ˜€πŸ˜€God bless you ..

  2. Fantastic, dear Harshi. My problem is I have too many ideas but don’t know how to sort them in a proper order. β™₯️β™₯️β™₯️β™₯️🌹🌹🌹🌹. You are going in the right direction.

  3. Aparna!!!! You’re a published author my dear friend. You must be overwhelmed with ideas. ❀️❀️❀️❀️

I always keep mine in the WordPress drafts. That way I can revisit them. I also keep a notebook handy. You never know, when inspiration strikes! 🌹🌹🌹🌹

    Thank you so much πŸ₯°πŸ€—

  4. Dear Harshi, you are not alone with this. I often have to rack my brains for something to write about. Inspiration never seems to come at the right time or when I want to write something for my blog. I find it so frustrating at times and have sometimes left it two or three weeks between posts just because my creative mind is blank. Despite feeling that your inspiration is lacking right now, you have still managed to write something worthy and beautiful. Take heart, dear friend. Inspiration often strikes when we least expect it or even when we have no time to write. Take care xx πŸŒžβ£πŸ’›

    1. The sentiment behind this poem is actually positive. It’s about an artist grappling with a writer’s block but at the end when s/he has almost given up, inspiration strikes and an idea germinates.

  5. Hi Ellie!!!! All my poems and stories are a work of fiction. The only poem which was about me is titled – Walking in the Dark.

My anecdotes and reviews are totally me 😊

Thank you so much for your love and concern 😘❣️πŸ₯°πŸ€— and for appreciating my work. Lo❀️e you!

    1. Dear Harshi, Silly me! I’m sorry I misunderstood your poem. I feel I am acutely aware of other people’s feelings and sometimes, perhaps, read too much into them, and I try to tune into the feel of the piece. I have reread your poem and can now understand its true meaning. Thank you, too, for sharing your poem ‘Walking in the Dark’ with me. I loved this piece, also. You have a great deal of talent which shows in your writing. I was, indeed, just showing my caring side which is instinctive within me. Thank you for being so generous in your reply to me. Sending you much love, also, my dear friend. Have a great day. Hugs πŸ€—. Ellie xx πŸ₯°πŸ’πŸŒΌπŸ’–πŸ˜˜

      1. My dear buddy, Ellie!

Life is fleeting and we have just met. I want our friendship to be cosy. There is no need to apologise. There are other poets on WordPress who have also felt the same for some other poems of mine. They went on to ask me, if I was doing fine?

Concern and love are always appreciated! β€οΈπŸ€—

Majority of my work which is published stems from what I’m reading, viewing or from experiences of others. A lot has been inspired by my reading of posts of fellow -bloggers. I get my ideas from them.

My personal poems I rarely publish. However, I’m pretty candid in my posts regarding anecdotes and reviews πŸ˜€

Thank you for appreciating β€˜Walking in the dark.’ That one is close to my heart.

        Love and Hugs πŸ€—πŸ₯°πŸ’πŸŒΌβ€οΈπŸ˜˜

    1. Yes! That’s exactly what it is πŸ€— Karima. Initially, I thought of using the line “Imagination on a vacation” but then the word – Inspiration, sounded and felt so much better.

      Thank you for appreciating ❀️
